Gurajada Venkata Apparao (1862-1915) (Telugu: గురజాడ అప్పారావు) is a legendary Telugu poet and writer of Andhra Pradesh, India. He wrote the first Telugu play, Kanyasulkam, which is often considered the greatest play in the Telugu language. Gurajada Apparao was an influential social reformer of his age and was lauded as Mahakavi, meaning "the great poet".
